We are seeking to enhance the quality of our HR Department with the addition of a new HR Manager. Our goal is to make our current processes more efficient and provide timely and effective support to ACS Management and staff, and we are currently seeking an individual who has a well-rounded HR background, a pro-active mindset, is tech savvy and is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get to work in a team environment.

This position will be located in our Passaic, NJ HQ and the successful candidate will also be able to work from home for part of each week.

The HR Manager is responsible for the continuous improvement of the alignment between Operations and ACS HR practices and objectives while always being mindful of our culture and values. This includes, but is not limited to contributing to the improvement of HR processes, leading projects, supporting recruiting, employee growth and development, enhancing training and performance management, partnering in strategic HR initiatives and supporting ACS Management with continuous improvement to maximize the growth & development of our most valuable asset, our employees.

Essential Functions:

Payroll & HRIS
Responsible for the accurate and timely maintenance of employee information and the transmission of the bi-weekly company payroll thru ADP.
Identify areas for continuous improvement and spearhead, in partnership with the HR Director, a search for new systems and/or processes to provide the best support and improve overall efficiencies.

Compensation, Benefits & 401(k)
Manage benefits eligibility for weekly transmissions, self-administered COBRA and the annual open enrollment process.
Coordinate administration of the ACS 401(k) plan, including employee meetings, loan administration and ensure continuous compliance with regulations from the ACA, ERISA, IRS, DOL and other government agencies.
Oversee accurate maintenance of salary bands, merit & bonus budget and regular BI Report updates for ACS CEO.

Performance Management
Facilitate the quarterly performance review process.
In partnership with the HR Director, lead the reconfiguration and alignment of performance reviews with ACS values and culture, the updating of performance management docs to an electronic system and the identification and migration to a more efficient Performance Management System.

Head up the ACS Training process, including driving the updating of current Training Modules and subsequent LMS upload, coordination of training schedules and SoftSkills classes with Management.
Advise on possible improvements to LMS and/or consolidation with other HR software.

Recruiting & Employee Relations
Provide support as needed for Recruiting efforts, complete pre-hire reference checks.
Manage onboarding process, including HR Orientation, new hire evaluations and ACS technology distribution and collection as needed.

Required Skills & Abilities:

10 years of previous experience in a Generalist Environment.
Confidence in operating HR Technologies, including ADP or other Payroll software, PMS and LMS systems and previous experience in system migration and implementation.
Knowledge of and experience with Federal and Multi-state employment laws, especially in the State of NJ.
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field strongly preferred, HR Certification (SHRM or HCRI PHR) also strongly preferred.
